Evergreen Practices
Welcome to the Practices page. Please refer to the sub-pages for more information on practice schedules.
All practices will be held at Evergreen Estates Pool.

Our practices start before the end of the Anne Arundel County school year so there will be two different practice schedules. The season will start with all practices after school.
- PM Practice Schedule (while school is in session)
- AM Practice Schedule (once school is out)
Afternoon practices are expected to start May 26, and morning practices on June 17.
There will be no practice on June 16.

Practice Policies
- Practice groups are assigned by the coaching staff based on swimmer's age and skill.The groups are also set to maintain manageable practice group sizes.
- In order to manage our practice groups, we ask that you please only send your swimmer to their assigned group and do not ask to change their group.
- Swimmers are to attend their scheduled practice only and are not permitted to hang around the pool deck before or after their practice unless under supervision by a parent there for a sibling’s practice. Our coaches’ focus and supervision needs to be on the swimmers in the practice, not extra swimmers at the pool.
- The baby pool is closed for use during practices and meets (unless the pool is open to members during PM practices)
- There is a lot of vehicle and bike/walker traffic coming and going during practice times, please drive slowly and carefully.
- Please try to have your swimmer arrive on time and with goggles and ready to swim.

Weather Policy
In case of weather related practice changes, an email will be sent immediately by the Coach.
- We will have practice in the rain as long as the coaches can see the bottom of the pool, but will cancel for thunder, lightning, or other hazardous conditions. If thunder or lightning is present, we are not able to swim for 30 minutes.
- We try to make early cancellations based on forecasts before practice and meets, but that is not always possible.
- If the forecast is questionable, please check your email.
